Subject: Upper Myanmar Conference (UMC) is not a
legitimate Organization
The Upper Myanmar Conference
of SDA (UMC) is just a self-appointed organization of disobedient people with
questionable motives. Since it was not form by any act of the Church, the
church had never legitimated nor recognized them.
Therefore, be it known to
all members that the Executive Committee of Upper Myanmar Local Mission had
voted a resolution against them (UMC) as illegitimate organization.
Moreover, all actions of the
said group have nothing to do with the Seventh-day Adventists church.

Subject: Request to protect the Church Buildings
1.
The Seventh-day Adventist church was
organized in 1919. It was officially registered with the Stock Exchange Company
of Myanmar in 1949.
2.
As a legally organized church, it functions
in accordance with the laws. At present, some group of people led by Mr. Kai Za
Dal of Kalaymyo are trespassing the lands and buildings of the church to rob
them without any consent of the government in order to organize the Adventist
conference illegally.
3.
They are a group of people who
disobeyed the rules and regulations of the church for several times in order to
control church properties for their personal benefits. For that reason we have
disfellowshiped them.
4.
Since the said illegal group caused
disturbance to the church, we not only reported to the Police stations and the
State Peace and Development Councils, but also informed the Ministry of
Religious Affairs to take necessary actions against them. As the result, the
Ministry had authorized all the divisional offices to inquire the case.
5.
It is learnt that the said illegal group
have penetrated and annexed into Mayan SDA church that is located within your
jurisdictional territory.
6. Therefore, I request your honor to protect the Mayan SDA
church building from being controlled by them in accordance with the laws

Subject: Request to help solve religious crime
Re: Chairman of Sawbwayeshin Village Council dated October

November 22, 2004
We, the formal Seventh-day Adventists, humbly request your honor
to help us solve a religious crime with fairness. And we would like to inform
you that since the deeds of the self-supporting group that caused schism in the
church are all contracting actions to the formal administration of the church.
We, therefore, classify them as illegal body that had never been recognized by
the government authorities.
1.
We, the formal SDA have confirmed the
disbandment of them in accordance with resolution number 2004-090.
2.
Therefore, let it be known to your
honor that the said illegal groups have nothing to do with the church’s land,
buildings, and any material objects thereof the church.
3.
They are only a handful of people who
are dissatisfied with the church’s election and complained that it was unconstitutional.
But it was done accordingly with the instruction given by our superior and no
one questioned the result of the election except a handful of people from Upper
Myanmar.
The above mentioned 3 points and other accusations such as
selfishness, racism, spiritual immaturities, and baseless allegations have not
only degraded the essence of religion but also caused disunity in the church.
May I request your office to help solve the issue with fairness.
Yours respectfully,

Subject: Regarding the Seventh-day Adventist
Church (SDA)
Regarding the subject
mentioned above, pastor of the formal Pinlong SDA church had informed to your
good office (dated 12/12/2004) that we have appointed a committee on
12/12/2004.
But before the incidence had
taken place, an illegal Conference group robbed the key of the church building
from Mr. Cin Khaw Pau, the key keeper, and they seem to handed over to Mr. Kham
Zam Thang.
On the date we had to
organize a committee at 9:00am, the said group denied to open the church door
by excusing that the key was kept by Mr. Thang Khan Suan. Then he in turn
passed it on to his wife who was away from home for shopping.
After a while a young man came
with the key and opened the door. Such was the way they acted to cause
disturbance in order to confiscate church properties. Besides that they cut off
the telephone line.
Therefore we, the nominees
of the Special Power made a resolution to LOCK THE CHURCH BUILDING temporarily
basis. The implementation of the resolution will be initiated by Mr. Pum Za
Lian in accordance with the authorities vested with us by the Local Mission
officers

Subject: Request to illegalize and stop the
Conference Planning Committee (CPC)/Upper Myanmar Conference (UMC)/Myanmar
Adventist Conference (MAC)
Dear Sir,
1.
With regards the subject mentioned
above, the Seventh-day Adventist church had been a legally recognized religious
body by Association of Stock Exchange Company and the Ministry of Home Affairs
since 1949(1097/8-48-49 dated 26-7-49).
The above group led by Mr. Kai Za Dal was disobedient to the
church and caused disturbance of peace and tranquility of worship. They are
separatists who attempted to take over all church buildings, Bible Schools, and
other properties thereof the church.
2.
Even after several negotiations were
undertaken by the church to settle the issue, there was no improvement that the
Upper Myanmar Mission Executive Committee and Myanmar Union Mission decided it
to be illegal organization with resolution number 2004-017 and 2004-090
respectively.
3.
Mr. Kai Za Dal informed the
government on June 28, 2004 that they might be recognized as a legal
organization. Thus he deceived his followers.
4.
At present the situation is getting
worse in such a way almost reaching to the point of riot and rebellion beyond
the power of the church to dissolve. Therefore, may I request your good office
to take action against them and dissolve them along with their head quarter of
No 11, Pinlon 4, Boyoke Road, Kalaymyo in accordance with the existing laws.

Beloved aspirants for the Conference status,
I greet all of you in the
name of Jesus. May God’s blessings and helps be upon you that the aspiration
for Conference status be achieved through the proper channel soon.
I believe that the current
problems in the church are Satan’s assaults because we allowed him to do so. As
one of the leaders of the church, I tried my best to solve this problem but so
far I have not yet success. I felt so sorry when I knew that the problem
was the result of my mistake of the unconstitutional election of MYUM in 2001
and of the UMM in 2003.
Though I have a numbers of
excuses to justify myself regarding those mistakes, I thought it will be of no
use. Due to this I would rather confess and beg you all to forgive me so
that the unexpected negative results may be avoided. In fact, I myself did not
create those mistakes, but a responsible church official leader did suggest me
to do so while such thing was a serious mistake.
Since it caused schism of
the church, nothing beside verbal confession could be done now as a correction
of the mistakes. Therefore please have understanding and forgiving spirit upon
me and fell free to express what you want me to do as a compensation for the
mistakes I have committed. I also promise all of you that no more mistake
of such kind will be repeated again in the future.
I know I am not perfect and
worthy to be a leader of the church, but it is God who promotes me to this post
of leadership. I heartily beg you to forgive my mistakes and also invite you to
return/detour to the only fold of the remnant church.
Although I am hurt by the
correspondences, let it be known by all of you that there is no grudge in my
heart against you. I beg and invite you to forgive my mistakes and weaknesses
so that we could step forward to the conference status.
May God help you to have a
right decision for the safety of your own soul, Amen.

Officials About the Ownership of Church Properties and
the Disbanded Church from World Church Organization
With regard to the above
mentioned subject, if and when church members are disbanded they no longer have
the right to access the church properties such as school buildings, church
buildings and all other properties are under the jurisdiction of the
section (conference/ local mission) accordingly with the SDA Church Manual
p. 318.
There are two groups of
people in Pinlon (11), Kalaymyo SDA Church: the disbanded self-supporting
group and the group who have connection with the mission section. These
properties belong to the conference/mission regardless of numbers of
members. (SDA Church Manual 318).
The true Church
organizational relationships are briefly shown as below:
1. Local Church
2. Conference/Mission
3. Myanmar Union of Adventists
4. Division (Regional office of the world church)
5. General Conference of SDA
All legitimate organizations
are a cooperate body for the ministry regardless Conference (self-supporting)
or mission. Since self-supporting group led by Mr. Kai Za Dal have no
cooperation with us for 2 years, the Upper Myanmar Mission voted a resolution
to disband them in accordance with SDA Church Manual 316.

as they did to their owned buildings. It was apparent that they vandalized the
said buildings while they are preparing to erect a new building.
